St Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Kozhencherry
Mar Thoma Senior Secondary School, Kozhencherry was established in the year 1982. Since then the school has attained a supreme position in the academic arena of Central Kerala, aiming at the all-round development of personality. The school curriculum provides for mental & physical growth.
The school is situated in a calm & serene campus in the heart of Kozhencherry at a short distance from the Kozhencherry bus stand. The present strength of 2100 students proclaims the wide acclamation the school has been receiving now. The school is owned & managed by the Mar Thoma Church Socio Economic Educational & Development Society, Kozhencherry. The Mar Thoma Metropolitan is the patron & the vicar of the St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Kozhencherry is the Manager of the school. The school is run by a governing Board appointed by the society.
The M.T.S.S.S. is a co-educational institution offering a challenging curriculum & an enriching learning experience from pre-kindergarten to senior secondary level, & thus has adopted the modern methods of teaching & lays emphasis on the value based education.
Faculty
The present faculty comprises of 86 teaching & 27 non-teaching members. Teaching faculty members are well qualified & act as facilitators to help students develop self-confidence, discipline, responsibility, commitment & excellence in academics & non academics.
Prof. Thomas Mathew serves as the principal of this institution & manages the day to day affairs of the school.
